Temporary Customer Service Assistant
Heartland Consumers Power District is seeking a Temporary Customer Service Assistant to assist in the areas of Communications and Economic Development by studying customer data, analyzing trends, and making market-trend forecasts. This is an excellent opportunity, as the successful candidate will receive hands-on experience in a professional business setting, while advancing their knowledge of the wholesale power industry.
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Economics, Business, Math, Finance or Computer Science. Other related degree programs may be considered. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and an aptitude for analytical thinking. A strong record of team, project and/or people leadership in a work setting and/or extracurricular activities. The ability to effectively meet deadlines and willingness to take initiative to understand the business. Effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to interact well with others is essential. A strong commitment to excellence and to personal and professional growth. A valid driver’s license is required.
This is a summer position (June–August) with a 40 hour per week work schedule. Occasional travel may be required. Work hours may vary, but will generally be during the regular office hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
