Economic Development Grants
Heartland provides grants to customers and their local economic development corporations to help fund projects that foster growth and development. A community development project that promotes economic prosperity, supports new business opportunities or improves the social and economic well-being of local residents may qualify for Heartland's grant program.
Heartland's grant program reached a milestone in 2010, surpassing the half million mark in grants awarded. More than $570,000 has been issued since the program's inception in 1997.
If you have a viable community project, complete our simple grant application or contact Russell Olson at (605) 256-6536 for more information. Completed applications may be submitted electronically via the PDF or printed and mailed to 432 SE 12th Street, Madison, SD 57042.
Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis to applicants with qualified community projects. Submitting an application is not a guarantee of funding. If your community is tackling an energy efficiency project, learn more about our energy efficiency grants here.
