Power Forward with Heartland.

Power Forward is a unique collection of both incentives and educational programs created by Heartland Consumers Power District to help reduce your energy bills while increasing your comfort and preserving our environment.

Rising population and the increased use of electronic products are a few of the contributors to the increasing demand. While rising costs also contribute to higher energy bills, using energy smarter can go a long way in reducing those bills. For many, energy efficiency brings up images of turning down the heat and walking around covered in blankets to accommodate. While conservation is an important piece of the puzzle, energy efficiency simply means using less energy to do the same or better job – getting more from less.

Heartland is investing in energy efficiency the same as any other resource, because efficiency can help meet the growing demand for electricity.

Power Forward offers programs and incentives for Heartland Customers as well as residential and business customers of those communities.

 

Program Goals

Heartland hopes to achieve several goals with Power Forward as outlined below:

1. Educate Customers and consumers on energy efficiency
2. Increase use of Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs in Customer communities
3. Increase use of Energy Star Products in Customer communities
4. Increase use of Marathon Water Heaters in Customer communities
5. Increase use of and improve Load Management systems in Customer communities.

Power Forward will continue to evolve as we identify additional goals and receive feedback from customers. We will continue to assess which areas will have the most impact and implement programs accordingly. Our ultimate goals of protecting the environment, reducing the pressure on energy bills and investing in energy efficiency as a resource will remain the same.
