Heartland provides grants to our customers for energy efficiency improvements at their city facilities. Eligible projects include those that optimize electric energy use, thereby reducing the city's energy costs, such as installing energy efficient lighting or HVAC systems in public buildings. Recipients will be asked to measure energy and monetary savings achieved by the project.

All Heartland customer utilities with a specific project in mind are eligible to apply. Grants will not exceed $5,000 per customer per year.

Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Submitting an application is not a guarantee of funding.
